THE TRX SUMMER INTENSIVEs

Beyond the Basics. Into Something Bigger.

Three separate five-day intensives. Register for one week, two weeks, or all three.

Not Another Summer Camp. Not Babysitting. Not Random Movement.

TRX Summer Performance Intensives are built for Red Belts (or equivalent) and above who want more than simply staying busy this summer. Each five-day week is structured to sharpen movement, strengthen control, build confidence, and expose athletes to the performance mechanics behind CMX / XMA training, while also creating space for connection, team energy, and the kind of shared experience that builds real friendships.

This is where skill gets sharper, confidence becomes visible, athletes push themselves in new ways, and performance starts to make sense, all inside an environment designed to challenge them, energize them, and make the week genuinely fun.

This is ideal for:

• Athletes who are ready for more than regular summer activity and want to train with real purpose

• Students who know they are capable of more and need the right structure to bring it out

• Martial artists curious about CMX, performance forms, or learning how advanced movement is built safely

• Athletes who want stronger foundations now so future CMX training feels natural and exciting

• Students who thrive when they are challenged, encouraged, and surrounded by others working toward something meaningful

• Anyone who has ever watched a clean, powerful performance and thought: I want to learn how that is really done

What Happens Inside TRX

TRX isn’t gymnastics, dance, or open-ended freestyle.
It is structured martial arts performance training - the disciplined pathway behind the “wow” moments you see from top-level performers.

Why This Feels DIFFERENT

You'll Learn the Skills Behind the Wow!

“Control first, always. That’s the foundation of confidence.”

~ Eccaia Sampson

Each day blends structured coaching, movement challenges, goal tracking, technical corrections, and high-energy team games in a way that keeps athletes fully engaged while building visible progress from the very first day.

More importantly, this intensive gives athletes a real sample of how the 12-week TRX Apex Motion XMA System is built, how skills are layered, why details matter, and what it feels like when training becomes sharper, more intentional, and noticeably different from regular classes.

It is a rare chance to step behind the curtain, experience how advanced performance skills are developed, and understand why athletes who train this way begin moving with a different kind of confidence.

What Makes These Weeks Different

Every intensive is designed to leave athletes with more than new drills. They leave with sharper focus, stronger mechanics, better coachability, new friendships, and a clearer understanding of what disciplined progress actually feels like.

For many, this becomes the point where performance starts making sense, confidence becomes visible, and the next level no longer feels far away.

What They Leave With:

Every intensive is designed to create visible progress athletes can feel by the end of the week. Beyond the drills and daily challenges, they begin noticing stronger control, better awareness, and a clearer understanding of how performance is built one detail at a time.

• cleaner movement and control
• improved confidence performing in front of others
• better weapon awareness
• meaningful connection with other motivated athletes
• a clearer feel for how TRX training works

For some, one week sharpens what is already there. For others, it becomes the beginning of what comes next.

Before You Register

Does my child have to attend all three intensives?

No. Each intensive is built as its own complete five-day experience, so families may register for one week, two weeks, or all three depending on schedule, goals, and how much training they want to experience over the summer.

Will each week be the same?

The daily structure stays consistent, but athletes returning for multiple weeks continue building on what they already learned, with new challenges, new games, deeper corrections, and expanded performance work layered into each intensive.

Who is this open to?

TRX Summer Performance Intensives are open to martial artists training at an intermediate level or above, including athletes from outside Family Karate and outside the TRX program.

Because belt systems vary between schools, the general expectation is Red Belt or equivalent in their own dojo, or higher, with enough martial arts experience to work confidently inside a focused training environment.

Athletes do not need to already be part of TRX, but they should be able to stay attentive, follow instruction well, work respectfully with others, and train without disrupting the group.

Previous exposure to a martial arts weapon is helpful, as weapons work is part of the intensive, but there is still valuable training here for athletes who are ready to learn seriously.

Can this lead into TRX in the fall?

Yes. Summer intensives are designed to give athletes a genuine feel for how the TRX Apex Motion XMA System works, making the transition into fall training natural for those who want to continue.

What should they bring each day?

Athletes should arrive in their Camp Crew shirt if they have one, or a solid black T-shirt with gi pants. A water bottle, lunch, snacks, and any beginner-safe weapons they already own should also be brought each day. Weapons can also be provided through the dojo when needed.

For consistency and movement safety, track pants, shorts, and casual athletic wear are not part of camp training attire.

How is payment completed?

Payment is available by e-transfer or Stripe after Registration. Stripe payments include standard processing fees at checkout.

How do I register my athlete?

Click any Reserve a Spot or Join the Camp Crew button on this page and complete the registration form in full.

The form captures athlete details, week selection, shirt sizing, and any important training notes so everything needed for registration is submitted clearly the first time.

Payment is then available by e-transfer or Stripe. Stripe payments include standard processing fees at checkout.

Train Directly with a World Champion

“We don't train until we get it right. We train until we can't get it wrong.” ~ Sempai Eccaia

The Journey That Shaped the System

Sempai Eccaia’s professional journey began at age eight, when she was featured in Rolling Stone for her lead performance in KT Tunstall’s Human Being music video. Now 16, she is a 3rd Degree Black Belt, a 12-time World Champion, and one of the youngest emerging stunt professionals in the industry.

Her commitment to elite movement earned her a rare invitation to train with the Jackie Chan Stunt Team in Beijing - making her the only Canadian teen to receive this honor. She is also known for her technical precision and dynamic stage presence, specializing in nunchaku, double katana, and the 3-section staff.

Beyond her titles, Eccaia is a creator. She has written, choreographed, and headlined five original live-action productions, including three signature shows for London Comic Con. Her multidisciplinary background spans performance martial arts, action choreography, weapon artistry, dance, and podcasting, giving her a depth of experience that few instructors her age—or any age—bring to their students.

She created TRX to give students the roadmap she forged for herself: a system built on martial arts discipline, cinematic creativity, and clear, intentional progression.
